What's more personal than a tangible memory, a true-to-life image of your four-legged friend?
In order to make portraits full of character, I use high-quality paper and graphite pencils and finish each piece with a thin layer of fixation lacquer to prevent smudging.
Each artwork is made with the greatest care.

Quality is a keystone in my approach, which translates into the level of detail in my art and shows in the choice of materials I work with.
For all my PORTRAITS I selected Steinbach paper. This type of paper is produced in Germany and is entirely made of cellulose. The lignin or wood polymer was removed during production, leaving a completely woodless paper behind. It has a subtle grain, with minimal reflection, and is tinted slightly off-white.
For my GRAPHITE PENCILS, I selected Mars Lumograph, a collection by Staedler. The pencil lead of this series has an increased amount of graphite added to the clay. This enables both - depending on the usage - to create vivid shining shades of gray and deep dark contrasts. The wooden outside of their pencils is furthermore FSC and PEFC certified.
PRINTS of portraits are printed on the Swedish 'Munken Pure Rough' paper, which is also European-produced. The paper is stiff and off-white, similar to the Steinbach paper used for originals. In addition, this paper is FSC and cradle-to-cradle certified. A qualitative and environmentally aware choice!
